Created as the 2023 Christmas game for the CBeebies website, the CBeebies Christmas Grotto showcases the new branding for CBeebies; introducing the shiny new CBeebies bugs - Cee, Bee and Bies.

Working as part of the team at Splinter Studio, I was responsible for designing a Christmassy Hub environment, adapting the CBeebies branding to create snowy winter and cosy grotto scenes. I was also responsible for the design of 4 new mini games based off the popular TV series Shaun the Sheep and Colourblocks.

The story behind the main hub is the user is accompanying the CBeebies bugs into Santa's Grotto. Here they receive a present from Santa, which is a branded game (such as Jojo and Grangran) that the user plays through. When the game is successfully completed, a mystery ticket appears which gets a stamp.

When all stamps have been collected (when all games have been completed), the mystery ticket travels to another part of the scene revealing a surprise ice rink for the CBeebies bugs to play on. The user can select individual bugs to watch their ice skating moves!

I adapted existing assets while also creating new ones to design Christmas-themed branded games for Shaun the Sheep and Colourblocks.
